Under a canopy of Cottonwood and Magnolia trees, a flat bottomed boat glides noiselessly atop the shallow water. The call of the Louisiana heron breaks the stillness and creatures little changed since pre-history call this place home. Combining original melodies, the rhythms and instruments of Louisiana's Cajun tradition, and a constantly changing soundscape of natural sounds recorded on location, composer Dennis Hysom and Dan Alvarez create a sound-portrait that features guitars, keyboards, strings, clarinet, rubboard, fiddle and more.
